Anything can happen in the NFL Draft; you have to be prepared for whatever.
Most projections have Alabama’s Minkah Fitzpatrick and Florida State’s Derwin James amongst the top ten prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft, but the Packers aren’t completely out of reach. It’s not a typical year when they’re picking in the late 20’s, and have no shot at adding a top-ten prospect.
Fitzpatrick and James are both labeled as “safeties.” However, that position is asked to do more than maybe any other position on defense. Both players are versatile, and would help the Packers immediately in their first season.
So, who fits the Packers better? We’ll visit with Andy Herman at 9:50 AM on the “Friday Film Room” to discuss what he saw on film. (Check out his post at CheeseheadTV.com)
