When the head coach says you’ve stood out amongst your peers, that’s a good way to go into your first NFL season.
Dupre was the Packers’ final draft pick, No. 247 in the seventh round, but he comes from LSU, which has produced a long list of talented NFL wide receivers. Earlier this offseason, Dupre talked about the influence that Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry have had on his football career.
“We’ve been so close since a young age,” Dupre said. “They’re from the New Orleans area, and I played against Odell in high school, and I’ve been friends with him since then … Hopefully, I can just follow in their footsteps and be as good as them one day.”
Can you imagine the Packers offense — with an OBJ or Jarvis Landry — on top of what they already have? Wow.
Hear what Dupre said this week in the locker room, and what Davante Adams had to say about the wide receiver room. We’ll play the sounds.
