Not all the “big names” are absent from Packers minicamp. While veterans of at least five years experience are “excused,” left tackle David Bakhtiari and cornerback Kevin King are at work. (And they spoke to the media Tuesday in the locker room.)
Bakhtiari signed a lucrative contract extension last offseason, and as a result, he’s the richest player at minicamp this week. He’s looking to bounce-back, and build on what was an All-Pro season in 2016. (You can watch his full interview at Packers.com)
King was the Packers’ top pick in the draft. He was the first pick of the second round, and is battling to be a starter in a secondary that ranked No. 31 against the pass last year.
Hear from King at 9:15, and Bakhtiari at 10:20 this morning on “Air it Out” (9-11 AM) with Marques, Bill & Rookie.
