Back to Football for Kevin King

The Packers used their first draft pick on Washington cornerback Kevin King, but an NFL rule has prevented the rookie from joining the team. (Until now.)

Because of the class schedule at the University of Washington, King was unable to participate at OTAs with his new employer. Last year’s first-round pick, Kenny Clark, went through the same thing.

But this week at mandatory minicamp, King can join his teammates. (As ESPN.com’s Rob Demovsky puts it, King can “trade FaceTime for face time.”)

Will King be a Day 1 starter on defense? Call your shot: Who are the starting cornerbacks come Week 1?
