And then there was one (Packers Punter)

Undrafted rookie Justin Vogel signed with the Packers because he saw an opportunity. Now in early June, he’s the only punter on the Packers’ roster, after the team cut ties with Jake Schum.

“There’s only 32 spots in the world at my position,” Vogel said Thursday in the locker room. “There’s no backups being held on rosters. Probably more than half of those guys have been in the league for five or more years, the seasoned veterans, so there’s not a lot of opportunity to get out there.”

You’d imagine the Packers will bring in some (more) competition for Vogel, but as things stand right now, the undrafted rookie has a golden opportunity with the Green Pay Packers.
